Description
The Jurassic Coast stretches over 150km from Exmouth in the west, to Old Harry Rocks at Studland Bay in the east. It's one of the richest sites for prehistoric remains and is known for its outstanding geology — the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous geological periods are found within it, getting its name from the best known, the Jurassic.

General safety information
Beware of rockfalls, landslides, tide times, and dangerous cliffs — the coastline is constantly eroding and will be more dangerous after bad weather. Rerouted sections and diversions are frequent, so it's important to check for the latest official information on the coastal paths.
