Description
The Knepp Wildland Project has taken an approach to conservation in a radically different way from how it is conventionally done, giving nature as much freedom as possible, and is seeing extraordinary increases in wildlife. It's the first major lowland rewilding project in England. Visiting Knepp is possible through public footpaths that run through the Knepp Estate, including through the popular Knepp Castle walks, allowing you to visit the rewilding project. There's a campsite on the grounds, and they also offer guided safaris on foot or by vehicle in an all-terrain Austrian Pinzgauer.

General safety information
Knepp Estate kindly asks that you stick to the designated footpaths to prevent disturbing the rewilding project. Wellington boots are recommended in the winter or following heavy rain, as the paths can get very wet and muddy. Respect the wildlife, and never approach or feed the animals. Keep dogs on a lead or under control at all times. There are no public facilities such as toilets.
